As much as a soul reflection
than a miror to the culture,
Jean François Larrieu paintings
are one vision leading to
amazement. The public eye
immerses itself within his
colorful and unexpected
universe. Number of his
paintings have been inspired
through his several travels,
reinterpreting places according
to his own alphabet.
His Art is flowing with dense
urban places such as
Manhattan, Hong Kong, Dubaï,
Paris and their peculiar
atmosphere, setting the
complexity of his pieces of Art
on fire. Through his pictorial
expression, Jean François
Larrieu is a direct descendant
of Paul Klee and Joan Miro,
whose « visual vocabulary is
delightful in order to sublimate
the real world and reach plastic
metamorphosis of one
universe where Human
remains the central topic of a
poetic surreality ».
His favorite topics are trees,
reaffirming the roots and
absolute necessity of plants,
enabling genuine human
development and survival.
Jean-François Larrieu
superimposed forms, creating
a knowledgeable and delightful
architecture, carrying multi-
colored, multicultural,
universalists signs.
With his powerful and singular
language , his landscapes are
filled with magical boxes,
people and birds, opening a
door, an enigmatic path toward
the wonders of the known and
the unknown, flowing with a
musical cadence where
imaginary is king.
Since 1982, Jean François
Larrieu has led over sixty
exhibitions front his own Art as
tell as many other collective
exhibitions round thé world.
From the beginning, his work
was exhibited in museum in
France and abroad.
Jean François Larrieu chaired
the Salon d’Automne de Paris
from 1995 until 2004, reviving
the past greatness of this
prestigious show, chaired
before by Renoir, Rodin
,Maillol, Desvallières… He
became Chair of Taylor
Fundation in May 2010. Funded
